Why I Use Citra-Solv in Making my Art
I use Citra-Solv as one of my tools in making paintings and collages. Citra-Solv used full strength is sprinkled on National Geographic magazine pages. The cleaner dissolved the printing ink, and while still wet I manipulate the now-dissolved color around the page to create interesting new images I have never seen before. The final result ends up being my inspiration for larger works. Also, I tear up the pages as part of my collage process. so in lieu of fancy-bought art papers, I create my own art paper which I adhere to my paintings. This unusual use of Citra-Solv inspires me to stay loose and more creative with unpredictable results.
