I am a multi media artist. I like working in all media and changing things up working with my hands doing sculpture or mosaic. I enjoy
digital photography (enhancing with editing software) and creating and editing video documentaries using today's modern tools. When I need a
break or not painting, I like to write short stories of my imaginative life.
Discovering Citra Solv has become addictive to my creative juices. It's like attending a seminar on how to release yourself at least for me at this time. I'm a realistic painter by nature, but for now I don't have to prove to myself that I can paint exactly what my eye sees.
When I work with Citra Solv and finish a piece, I can hardly wait to start the next painting. I look at treated NGM pages and paint into them what they suggest to me. I like to keep the work at a point where the viewer can use their imagination and see the things I see, created subconsciously with some suggestions from me. I work around the 24" X 30" size. Working larger than that becomes challenging to make things work. I use acrylic thinned down to watercolor. Working wet on paper, the paint gets resistance and marbles when dry. I also use sponge, toothbrush and masking techniques. There is no way I'd be able to paint the background what the process produces. I don't know where I'll go from here painting wise. This is more fun than work and my energy level remains high.
