Art and the creative process are integral to my life. I couldn't imagine living my life without being consciously connected to the creative force surging within.
Primarily I paint and draw and or a combination of both at once. I am interested in texture, color and the layering of collage with mixed media to create a depth that draws the viewer further into the image revealing more
subtle nuances. I would refer to myself as a contemporary expressionist artist influenced by the impressionists and post impressionists for their rich use of color and the original expressionist artists like Munch, Bacon,
Jawlensky, de Kooning and Egon Shiele for their extremely emotionally charged images. My interest is in expressing the meaning and emotion below the surface vs. depicting in accurate detail what is visible on the surface.

Current contemporary artists that I look to for influence would be Kathy Jones, Jacqui Beck, Bill McEnroe, and Jerry Waese to name a few.
My current work is from a series that I am working on as a part of a card deck that is to be used as a transformative dialoguing process with clients
in my clinical practice. The images I am creating are filled with many archetypal images, and plenty of subtle and mysterious emotional qualities that seemingly surface and break through into these relatable gestural images.
