The main theme of Oppenheim’s work is to render personal responses to the female form. The plurality of her work focuses on bronze figurative nude sculptures, drawings, encaustics, and acrylic print mixed media in development. Oppenheim’s studio is located in Montebello, New York. Her formal art education began at Bowdoin College where she has exhibited. Oppenheim occasionally studies at The Art School at Old Church in Demarest, New Jersey with sculptor Janice Mauro and the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, New York. Pieces are bronzed at local foundries, including Polich Tallix, New Foundry New York Inc., and Stewart Sculpture Casting. Oppenheim is an Associate member of The National Sculpture Society, an Artist Member of the Edward Hopper House Art Center, and a member of The Art School at Old Church. Oppenheim also serves on the board of the Suffern Free Library, the Development Committee at the Edward Hopper House Art Center, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
